William O. Gardner Obituary

William “Bill” O. Gardner, Jr., 90, passed away Thursday December 24, 2020. He was the husband of the late Barbara J. (Paulhus) Gardner for 62 years before her passing in 2018. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William O. and Elsie L. (Keene) Gardner. He was a heavy equipment operator for Forte Brothers Construction for 50 years before retiring in 1993. Mr. Gardner was a lifelong Smithfield resident and an Army veteran. He loved collecting model classic cars, his dogs and working outside. He enjoyed traveling and never missed activities and sporting events for his grandchildren.
He was the loving father of Lori D. Aubin and her husband Michael of Scituate. He was the grandfather of Kevin, Amie and Brian.
His funeral and burial in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery will be private.
