Vincent C. DiDonato Obituary

Vincent C. DiDonato, 93, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died Friday, July 31, 2020 at Briarcliffe Manor. He was the devoted husband of the late Antonette (Simone) DiDonato, son of the late Domenic and Minnie (Ricci) DiDonato. He was born on June 22, 1927 in Providence, grew up in Johnston, and resided in Warwick for 54 years. Vinnie was employed as a machine operator at Precision Products in Smithfield for 45 years. After retiring, he worked at Walmart for 15 years. He was a proud WWII Navy veteran and also served with the US Army.

Vinnie was a very hard worker but spending time with his family and being the best father and Papa, was the most important thing in his life. He is survived by his son Vincent C. DiDonato, Jr. (Alicia), and his daughter Carol M. March (and spouse). He leaves four beloved grandchildren, Lindsay Peloquin (Rick), Christie Staudt, (Brett), Amy Rose (Craig) and Corey DiDonato; great grandchildren, Corinne Rose, Morgan Harris, Liv Rose, and Case Staudt. He also leaves his sister Clara Altiri and predeceased by his brothers Domenic DiDonato, Jr., and Private Joseph DiDonato, US Army, killed in Action in the Invasion of Normandy.

Vinnie was one of a kind, the life of every gathering, loved and admired by all.
