Thomas V. Sweeney, Sr. Obituary

Sweeney, Thomas, V., Sr., 93, a retired UPS employee passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Riverview Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Herold) Sweeney and a son of the late Walter and Edith (Baldwin) Sweeney. Thomas was beloved father of Thomas V. Sweeney Jr., (Terri), Sandra L. Ellis (William), and Diane D. Sylven (Steven); loving grandfather of William, Brian, Steven, Robert, Erik, Matthew, and Kelly; loving great grandfather of Nathan, Cameron, Quincy, Kieran, Charlotte, Callum, and Sadie. Mr. Sweeney was a WWII US Navy Veteran.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm.
