Thomas J. Sheehan Obituary

Sheehan, Thomas J., 69, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Pamela M. (Panos) Sheehan, and a son of the late Daniel and Julia (Selmanie) Sheehan. Mr. Sheehan was employed as a car salesman for Budget Rent a Car, and was former owner of the Saratoga Bar and Grille. He was a graduate of La Salle Academy and Providence College, where he was a member of their hockey teams. He was also a hockey coach at La Salle Academy and Providence College woman’s hockey, and was very involved with the Warwick Youth Hockey Program. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas J. Sheehan Jr. and his wife Jennifer, a daughter Therase Tasca, and her husband Robert III; two brothers, Daniel and James Sheehan, two sisters Jaqueline Dandeneau and Judith Greene; seven grandchildren, Robert Tasca IV, Austin Tasca, Thomas J. Sheehan III, Cameron Tasca, Isabelle Sheehan, Sophie Sheehan and Dylan Tasca. He will be remembered for his distinctive voice. Loud and energetic at his grandson’s hockey games, yet soft and sweet singing with his granddaughters.

His funeral will be held Tuesday October 2, 2018 at 8:45AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road, Warwick at 10AM. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Monday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to La Salle Academy, 612 Academy Ave, Providence, RI 02908 will be appreciated.
