Susan Evelyn (Hallan) Ballou, 78, passed away Thursday December 10, 2020. Survived by her dear husband and soulmate, Javon “Sonny” Ballou. She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late T. James and Evelyn (Bradley) Hallan. She loved and was so proud of her family. Susan was the mother of Paul M. DiMaio, Esq. and his wife Kimberly DiMaio and Stefanie DiMaio-Larivee, Esq. and her husband Steven Larivee. Nana of Deena, Paul A. and Dylan DiMaio, Samantha, Steven, Savhannh Larivee, Sebastian Aimone and Viviene Aimone. Great-Nana of Melody Rose DiMaio. Step-mother of Janice Ballou and Jennifer Ellis. Nana-Sue of Devin and Mitchell Ellis. Cousin of Timothy Baird. Survived by siblings T. James Hallan Jr., Linda Hallan and Deborah Hallan. She was the organist/choir director for various churches in the area most currently at her beloved church, Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Smithfield, RI.
CHANGED SERVICES, A brief visitation will be held WEDNESDAY December 16, 2020 from 8:45-9:45am with a service to follow at 10am in Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 54 Cedar Swamp Rd., Smithfield, RI. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Face masks, social distancing and limited seating capacity will be observed at the Visitation and Church Service.
