Robert Righie Obituary

Righie, Robert F., 85, died Monday October 30, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie G. (Gaynor) Righie. A lifelong resident of North Providence, he was a son of the late Fredrick D. and Charlotte (Snyder) Righie. Mr. Righie was a member of the Teamsters Union 251 AFL-CIO. He was a truck driver for Centrex for 25 years, retiring in 1996 and for the past 20 years he was a driver for Antonelli Poultry. A Korean War Army veteran, he was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion post 56, Wanskuck. He was the brother of the late James Righie, Sr. and Elizabeth Poons. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including his devoted nieces, Margie Clyde and Susan Read, and nephew, James Righie, Jr. and grandpa uncle Bob of Andrew Clyde.

His funeral will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 8:30 am from the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel,643 Putnam Avenue, Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial with military honors at the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-7. In lieu of flowers donation to the charity of your choice.
