Porter, Richard J., 49, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Aldsworth)Porter and a son of Adrienne (Farnden)
Porter and the late David Porter . He was a resident of Warwick for over 20 years. Richard was the loving father of Griffin Porter; brother of David and Kevin Porter and Audra Marquis and the late Julie Porter. He is also survived by his stepmother, Sheila Porter. Richard worked in printing and procurement for over 25 years. He was a proud member of the BBGA. Richard was an avid New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints fan. However, his favorite team was the Bishop Hendricken High School football team where he proudly watched his son play for the last 4 years. Richard had a deep love for his family and friends. He was a father figure to many.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 am. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours Monday, 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, #206, North Hollywood, CA 91607 will be appreciated.
