April 29, 2016
Born in East Orange, NJ
Resided in Jamestown, RI
Paul T. Andrews, 67, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully Friday, April 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family after, in his typical style, successfully proving the medical field wrong about just how long he would be able to battle Cancer. He was the beloved husband of Suzann (Fink) Andrews and father to Nikki Andrews Gladding. Born in East Orange, NJ, he was a son of the late Elias and Ann (Nickalopolus) Andrews.
In his childhood, he was active in the Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts. He was the first Greek Boy Scout to earn the Alpha Omega Award. He went on to earn the Order of the Arrow, Nathan Hale Award and two Palms.
Paul received a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Political Science from Millikin University in 1972. He was an accomplished entrepreneur in many fields. He grew a single office real estate and insurance company to a five office, multi-county company and expanded it to include property management, a leasing division, and land development. He was a passionate collector of classic cars, and turned that, of course, into a successful business endeavor. He was President of the Burlington County Board of Realtors, a founding member of 5 county MLS system in South Jersey, active in Rotary, Moorestown Historical Society, and a member of the NADA. He gave us more to list, but we think you get the point!
Besides his wife and daughter, he also leaves Nikki's husband Ken, of Jamestown, who he regarded as his son, his Rescue Pibble and guardian angel Olive, and three granddogs, Tuukka, Charlie, and Tommy.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to the South Kingstown Animal Shelter (who saved Olive), the North Kingstown Animal Shelter (who saved Tommy), or the Potter League (where Paul would often go and then beg Suzi to let him bring more dogs home).
