Obituary

Paul Franklin Avedisian of Cranston Rhode Island died on the evening of October 16, 2020 at Hope Health Hospice Center, Providence, Rhode Island at the age of 67.

Paul, son of Edward and Susan (Kimatian) Avedisian was born on July 18,1953 in the town of North Providence where he grew up with his three brothers, Michael, Edward Jr., and Howard Avedisian. They were a proud, hardworking family that honored their culture with the Armenian community.

Paul was a mechanical genius, craftsman and musician. He had a true passion for cars, remote controlled aircrafts and audio equipment. His love went beyond just simply enjoying these things. Paul had a deep knowledge of how they were created and, in some cases, would engineer and meticulously build his own.

Paul could be soft spoken and reserved but even in those quiet moments his incredibly sharp wit and great sense of humor would shine through.

Everyone faces challenges in their life and Paul was no exception. But no matter how hard those challenges were for him, Paul always managed to rise above and persevere with dignity and self-respect.

My uncle was a survivor. This was never more evident than the way he battled his illness. Paul fought cancer courageously for over 6 years. We never heard him complain, ever. Even in the very last days of his life he remained positive and dedicated to getting better.

Paul was loved and we will all miss him dearly.

Paul is survived by his one sibling Michael Avedisian. His sister in-law Kim Avedisian and three nephews Nishan, Kris and Max Avedisian.

His funeral will be held at a time to be announced.
