Misty
M.
Goulart (Scott)
May 26, 2019
Resided in Warwick, Rhode Island
Our beautiful Queen, loving Mama Dukes, Mimi, Auntie, Sister, Niece, BFF and FIGHTER was reunited with her Mom Joan, daughter Amanda and grandparents Margie and Red on Sunday morning May 26, 2019 after a long battle with Breast Cancer. She was at home surrounded by her loving family and with her precious dog Teddy by her side. She was 49 years young.
She was born to Joan McCarthy and Robert Bennett in 1969 in Pawtucket RI. She is survived by her devoted husband David, her 3 children Joanie, Brittany and PJ, their wonderful spouses Michaela and Bryan, her 4 grand babies Jacob, Zachary, McKenna and Jo-Jo, her nephews Dominic and Donato, her wonderful Auntie Carol and Uncle Bob, her brother and sister in law Dawn and Chris, her brothers Bobby, George, Billy and Ricky, and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course the BEST BEST BEST of friends.
Misty was a lover of life, fiercely protective of her loved ones and always had a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. She loved to spend time on her deck with Teddy and a hot cup of tea (or maybe a Ketel One) just listening to the birds and watching the boats go by or having a great party and laughing with her family and friends. She loved to laugh, travel anywhere, shop til she dropped, go to concerts, the casino or just have a witty conversation. She loved/had to be! at the wheel and go for long drives in preferably a BIG truck, dancing in her seat with her favorite music cranking or taking a bank ride with one of her boys. She loved rooting for the Red Sox or her beloved Red Skins although she converted to a Patriots (or maybe just a Tom Brady fan) later in life. Misty helped start and worked in her own Pizza and Catering business since 2004 and was beloved by her partners Josh and Jack, all of her employees and customers. She was always the first one to give a heartfelt gift, make sure everyone had a Birthday Cake or plan a great party. She was never afraid to say what needed to be said and was loved for being so real.
She was fiercely loyal and would always be there for anyone that she loved without a second thought. She was generous beyond generous and loved to help others. She was a true mom and fell in love with every baby she saw. She loved great food, was a dip sauce connoisseur and was pretty sure that a good banana split could fix just about anything. She loved the Christmas season, the smell of a fresh cut tree and decorating it perfectly the day after Thanksgiving. She loved to surprise everyone with the perfect gifts and some might even say she was a wizard. She was a princess, a self proclaimed Karate master and above all she was a FIGHTER. Even as her disease progressed she always kept a smile on her face, had something hysterical to say and worried about everyone else.
To her beloved friends and family, please all know how precious you have been to her.
Fly high baby ...
