Obituary

Surrounded by her family, Maureen Ann Behrman passed away on July 11th, 2018 at the age of 68. Maureen was a wonderful mom, aunt, daughter, friend, and sister that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished.
Maureen grew up in North Royalton, Ohio where she went to the University of Cincinnati to become a teacher and later became a Paralegal for the IRS District Council. She later moved to Rhode Island to spend more time with her family. Maureen was very much an outdoorsy mother who was not afraid to get her hands dirty. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, roller coasters, the beach, and was an avid wood worker. Her hands were rarely still. Maureen was a Girl Scout Troop leader for many years and she also volunteered her time maintaining historical cemeteries in the area. She had a true love for history, which motivated her to explore different parts of the country and other parts of the world. One of her most enjoyable adventures was her trip to visit Egypt with her daughter to see the pyramids. Maureen had a true love for family, friends, and pets. She was the type of person that would always be there to help you out if you needed it.

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Melinda Behrman of Seattle, Washington, and a brother, J. Timothy Kocab and his wife, Suzette Kocab of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and 5 nieces and nephews and their families.
