Mary R. Thornton Obituary

Thornton, Mary R. (Trudell), 76, a retired health aid worker for the state of RI, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Thornton, devoted mother of John M. Thornton, Michael R. Thornton, Jeanne M. Browning, Susan M. Palmer, Christine M. Lepikko, Lisa M. Thornton, and Colleen M. Harvey; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. She was the sister of William Trudell and the late George Trudell, Joseph Trudell, and Federick Monahan.

Her funeral will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10AM from The Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be Monday 9-10AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St. Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 will be appreciated.
