Obituary

Marion Gillcrist passed away on April 14, 2019 and is survived by her husband Jim, 9 children, 36 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Joan and her son Brian. Marion spent twenty years in Austria in advanced studies of child rearing and development. However, her most influential work, was Marion’s seminal research into reversing the arrested development of male teenagers.

On a more serious note, Marion’s greatest accomplishment, besides raising ten children, was her work with the Pro-Life community for which she received the coveted Saint Gianna Beretta Molla Award. She will be greatly missed. We love you Oma!

Her wake will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 5-7 pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10 am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Her burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich. A reception will take place at 12:30 pm at Eleven Forty Nine Restaurant, 1149 Division Road, East Greenwich, RI 02818. All are welcome to celebrate Marion’s extraordinary life.
