Mariam (Tenkarian) Dolan Obituary

Mariam (Tenkarian) Dolan, 80, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Zaven and Agnes (Vartanian) Tenkarian.
Mariam was a devoted mother who was extremely proud of her children’s accomplishments. She enjoyed spending time with her family and truly cherished quality time with her grandchildren. Mariam’s Armenian heritage was a strong influence that she passed on to her children.

Mariam had a variety of interests and activities. As a young woman, she was a competitive bowler. She loved fashion, art, theatre, home design and spending time in her garden. Mariam had a deep love for her pets and passion for animals.

Mariam was the beloved mother of Jennifer M. Berechet and her husband, David, Jason D. Dolan, and Gregory J. Dolan and his wife Jesse; grandmother of Isis M. Berechet, Rosie E. Dolan, and Zaven B. Dolan; sister of Avedis Z. Tenkarian, Armen D. Tenkarian, and the late Sona V. Boyajian, and Zaven V. Tenkarian. Mariam is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 9:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Funeral Service a 11 am in St. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-7 pm.
