Obituary

Kenneth D Dandeneau, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 10,2020 in Sebring Florida. He was the son of the late Lois Dandeneau (Mowry) and the late Ovila N Dandeneau. He leaves behind two sisters and their husbands, Cheryl and Kurt Schatz and Doreen and Kenneth Knapp all of Burrillville, as well as five nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his longtime partner Linda Johnson and her son Tyler.
After attending North Smithfield High School, he moved to New Hampshire where he embarked on several successful business ventures. He began with a fish delivery and sales business called “Harbor Fresh” where he enjoyed his first success in business. He expanded into a catering service, to accommodate his love of cooking. He also partnered with a friend in a profitable house renovating and construction company.
Every summer he would host the “Dandeneau Weekend Retreat” at his home in Newport, New Hampshire. Approximately 100 people consisting of family and friends gathered for a feast that he prepared himself. As part of the festivities he organized a golf tournament, bonfires, fireworks, music and dancing. His wonderful sense of humor helped make every year a memorable event.
His passion for golf and warm weather brought him to Florida where he could play year-round which persuaded him to make Florida his permanent home.
He will be missed so very much by so many!
