Kathleen A. (Cioffi) McCormick, 81, passed away Monday December 14, 2020. She was the wife of the late George V. McCormick, Sr. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Katherine (McCrohan) Cioffi. Mrs. McCormick worked in administration for the Providence Housing Authority for 27 years and the Providence School Dept. for 10 years before retiring in 2000. After retiring she volunteered at the Miriam Hospital in Providence for 5 years.
Mrs. McCormick is survived by her niece Roberta Cioffi of Warwick, grandson’s George V. McCormick, III, Shawn T. McCormick and Patrick M. McCormick, and her great-nieces Celine and Erin McKinnon. She was the sister of Rosemary Ruper of Buffalo, NY and the late Robert Cioffi. She is also survived by her sister in law Jeanne Cioffi- Warren and Kristen Montecalvo of Cumberland, her longtime devoted friend of 25 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday December 21, 2020 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery will be private.
Face masks and social distancing will be observed at the Mass.
