Joseph M. Callaghan Obituary

Joseph M. Callaghan, 66, of Warwick passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home. He was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Gray) Callaghan. Joe was the husband of Colleen (Lynch-Buffery) Callaghan and the late Paulette Callaghan. Joe is loved and survived by his daughter, Stephanie Callaghan Zonfrillo and her husband, Jeffrey, his son, Joseph T. Callaghan and his wife Laura, his step son Christopher Buffery and his wife Carol, and step daughter Katie FitzGerald and her husband, Jim . He is also the proud and loving "Papa Joe" of ten beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Callaghan and his wife, Maryanne, and William Callaghan and his wife, Nancy. Joe proudly served his country for 6 years in the United States Air Force, which included 2 years in Vietnam. Joe recently retired from the Hudson Companies where he worked for the past 16 years.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 8:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am at Saint Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane Warwick followed by interment with military honors in the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Visiting hours Monday, October 10, from 4-8 pm.
