John D. Kane, 88, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Arciero) Kane.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank M. and Helen T. (Hughes) Kane. He was the owner of One Hour Martinizing and cofounder of Rally Point Racquet Club in Greenville. He lived in Greenville before moving to North Scituate in 1980. Mr. Kane was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and attended RI School of Design. He was a Past President of the Launderer’s and Cleansers Association, a member of the Smithfield Lions Club and a life member of the Greenville Fire Department. Above all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother, who was devoted to his family.
Beside his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his loving children: John D. Kane, Jr (Mariesa) and Diane M. Piampiano (Nicholas) all of Scituate. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicholas and Daniel Piampiano, Matthew and Sean Kane.
He was the brother of Catherine Brown, Patricia Papineau and the late Helen Caouette, Edward Kane, Walter Kane, William D.Kane and Francis M. Kane.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 8:30am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip’s Church, Greenville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation, Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Philip’s Pantry, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828 will be appreciated.
