Mears, James W., 81, of Warwick, passed away on February 1, 2016 at West Shore Health Center. He was the husband of Wanda S. (Sudol) Mears. Born in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late James W. S. Mears and Marion (Corson) Mears, Crozier.
Besides his wife of 49 years, he is survived by daughter, Karen Mears and partner Jason Girouard; daughter Laura Scully and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Samantha and Tyler Scully, and sister Marion MacFarlane of Hendersonville, NC.
James was a graduate of Brown University, class of 1956. He was a Design Engineer at Tyco (formerly Grinnell Fire Protection) for 35 years, retiring in 1999.
James was an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles and Sudoku.
Per his request, funeral service will be private.
