Henry A. Doucette, 74, of Coventry passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Center in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Annette Y. (Rajotte) Doucette for over 48 years.
He was born in Providence on October 25, 1946, a son of the late Armand and Rita D. (Richard) Doucette.
Henry was an area superintendent at Electric Boat in Groton and was a life member of the company's management association. He was a Vietnam War Air Force Veteran. He was also a member of both the Holy Name Society and the Finance Council of St. Vincent de Paul Church, a life member of Club Jogues in Coventry, and a member of the A.A.R.P. West Warwick Chapter # 2210.
Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Karen A. Doucette of Coventry, Lori Tomah and her husband, Anthony of Smithfield, Susan Zurcher and her husband, Marc of Richmond, and Julie Tessier and her husband, Nicholas of Griswold, Connecticut; a brother, Normand Doucette and his wife, Karen of Newport, New Hampshire; two sisters, Helen Brodeur and Jeanne Durand both of Coventry; and a sister-in-law, Claire Doucette of Coventry. Henry was “Pepere” to Natalie, Ethan, Julia, and Benjamin Tomah, Emily, Ryan, and Anna Tessier. He was the brother of the late Richard Doucette.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 4-7 pm in the Potvin-Quinn Funeral home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry. Burial with military honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry, R.I. 02816. Face masks are respectfully requested and social distancing and seating capacity limits will be observed.
