George R McNamee, 74, passed away at home Tuesday October 13, 2020. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Alexander and Mary (Coningford) McNamee. Mr. McNamee was a compounder for the former Parflex and former Qualitex Companies for over 25 years before retiring in 2013. He was a Johnston resident for over 20 years.
He was the father of George A. McNamee and his wife Stacyann of Greenville and Richard G. McNamee of Johnston. He was the brother of Alfred “Lefty” McNamee, Esther Ramaglia, Evelyn Bates, Joan Kabbas, Beverly McNamee, Helen Andrews, Ethel Arpin, and the late Eleanor Carrol, June Keenan, Mildred Josephson, Jean Roccio, Thomas McNamee, and Raymond McNamee. He was the grandfather of Scott McNamee, Jacqueline McNamee, Stephanie Hebert and her husband Curren. He is also survived by his great granddaughter Alaya McNamee.
Visitation will be held Monday October 19,2020 from 9-11AM in the TUCKER-QUINN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt. 44) Greenville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Rhode Island Avenue, Johnston at 11:30AM. There will not be a procession to the cemetery, please go directly to the cemetery for an 11:30 burial.
