Esther P. Briggs Obituary

Esther P. (Alexander) Briggs, 61, of Hope passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Kent Hospital in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Gordon F. Briggs. She was born on May 2, 1958 in Warwick, a daughter of the late Quentin A. and Pauline J. (Cook) Alexander. Esther was a self-employed school bus driver for the Scituate School Department for over 31 years and later for the First Student Bus Company in West Warwick for 7 years. She is survived by several cousins and was also the longtime companion of Mr. Royal H. Gorton. A graveside committal prayer service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 11 am in the Greenwood Cemetery on Fairview Avenue in Coventry. Arrangements are by the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home of West Warwick.
