Donna M. Marfeo Obituary

Donna M. (Zanni) Marfeo, 73, of Johnston, passed away peacefully Wednesday June 10, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Blaise J. Marfeo, with whom she shared 56 “glorious” years of marriage. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Anne (DeAngelis) Zanni.
Donna and her husband owned and operated Adesso Restaurant for many years and she previously created beautiful gift baskets as the owner of Baskets of Plenty. Donna absolutely loved entertaining… be it by her pool in the summer, at her kitchen table, anytime and especially on her beloved Christmas Eve, when she hosted her entire Italian family. No matter the time of day, night, or middle of the night, you could always count on a warm reception…. her door was always open. A devoted wife and mother, Donna loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Her proudest title was “Gramma” to Sophia and Elana, the loves of her life.
In addition to her husband Blaise, she is survived by her daughters, Wendy M. and Deana A. Marfeo; granddaughters Sophia and Elana Marfeo-Bellini; sisters, Lorna Solitro and her husband Leonard and Susan Bissanti. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends, in accordance with seating capacity limits, social distancing guidelines and other public health directives (i.e., use of masks), are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will be private. Visitation and flowers respectfully omitted.
