Barbara T. McMahon Obituary

McMahon, Barbara T.,(Ferns) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife "the bride" of the late Edward S. McMahon. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Genevieve (Donnelly) Ferns, she resided in East Greenwich and formerly resided in Narragansett. Barbara had a passion for living and touched the lives of many. Her family and friends were her greatest joy. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Donna A. McMahon, Maureen T. McMahon and Carleen M. McMahon. She also leaves BFF sister, Eileen Piccirilli, brother, Raymond Ferns and sister-in-law, Mary Ferns, with whom she thoroughly enjoyed her Wednesday outings. She was the sister of the late Genevieve Escobar, Joseph, James, Thomas, John, and Edward Ferns . She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday, June 6, at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 4th Avenue, East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Brentwood Nursing Home Activities Fund, 4000 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886, will be appreciated.
