Alfred Marciano Obituary

Alfred Marciano, 95, of Warwick, a kind and loving gentleman, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, March 9, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Angelina (DiTata) Marciano. Born on January 12, 1923, he was the son of the late Rafael and Alessandra (DeCubellis) Marciano.

Retiring in 1984, he was employed for 30 years as a precision machinist for Federal Products/Esterline Corp.

He is survived by his two sons, Alfred T. Marciano, CPA, of Warwick, and the Reverend Robert L. Marciano, KHS, pastor of St. Kevin Church and St. Benedict Church in Warwick, and his daughter-in-law, Nancy J. Marciano. He was the very proud grandfather of Matthew J. Marciano and his wife, Courtney C. , Kathryn A. Marciano and her husband, Dr. Christopher D. Van Booven, and Mary E. Marciano. He was the adoring great-grandfather of Roma J., Spencer A., and Julian R. Marciano.

He is also survived by his brother Orlando L. Marciano of Johnston, and numerous loving nieces and nephews and their children. He was the brother of the late Georgina Marciano his twin sister, Carlo Marciano, and Carmela Capraro.

The family would like to thank the staff and management at Brentwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their devotion and care extended during his final days, and the Palliative and Hospice Care Teams of the VNA of Care New England.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 8:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Friday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in his memory to the Alfred and Mary A. Marciano Scholarship Fund for the benefit of St. Kevin School, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889.
