Albert C. Shurtleff Obituary

Albert C. Shurtleff, 90 years of age, passed away April 14, 2018, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Dorothy (Murphy) Shurtleff for 67 years, and loving father of Gilbert James Shurtleff and his wife Jennifer; grandfather of Jennifer Cabral (husband Michael) and Ryan Shurtleff; great grandfather of Branden, Cody, and Abigail Cabral. Other family members close to his heart are the Kelly family, Donna Jean Pollock, Owen, Timothy, Nancy and David Kelly, and their spouses; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Kelly and her husband Owen Kelly; brother-in-law James P. Murphy (wife Tina). He was known as Uncle Al the kiddies pal. He retired from Ladd School after 32 years of service. Mr. Shurtleff was a WWII Airforce veteran, a member of the William Shields American Legion Post #43, and a founding member of St. Kevin Parish He will be missed by everyone he came in contact with.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10 am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial to follow with military honors in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
